SOURCES & DATA

Public filings, checked at the source.

Bubbs Bids tracks building permits, certificates of occupancy, and business registration records across the Capital Region. The weekly briefing keeps the public filing trail with each opportunity so you can check the record behind it.

We use public records, not scraped directories or purchased contact lists. Contact details appear only when the filing provides them.

PUBLIC INPUTS

Three records. One practical trail.

Building permits

Permits published by the local building department show approved or proposed work at a property.

Check the permit number and property address with the issuing city or town. Compare the work description, filing date, and status; if there is no online search, ask that building department for the public record.

Certificates of occupancy

A certificate of occupancy records an occupancy approval for a property or space.

Check the certificate number or address with the issuing building or code office. Confirm the issue date and status in that office’s public record.

Business registrations

Registration filings help identify the business associated with a new or changing location.

For New York corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships, search the entity name or DOS ID in the NYS Corporation and Business Entity Database. For a local registration, check the issuing municipality or county clerk’s public record using the filing name and jurisdiction.

FRESHNESS

A weekly snapshot, not a live feed.

Bubbs Bids collects records on Monday at 6 a.m. The weekly PDF and CSV arrive Tuesday before 8 a.m.

A filing posted after the collection pass, or published late by an agency, may appear in a later issue. Public offices set their own publishing schedules. When timing or current status matters, check the issuing authority’s record before reaching out.
